Amédée Diéudonné began his study of violin making at the age of 14. He studied under Gustave Bazin for five years until finding employment at the Darché firm. In 1920, after returning from his service in WWI, he established his own workshop in Mirecourt, France.
Rooted in the Cremonese tradition, Diéudonné became known for his excellent copies of historical models. For 40 years, he produced expert work as a craftsman while training approximately 20 apprentices in his workshop. Additionally, he conducted a symphony orchestra and taught violin lessons up to his death in 1960.
