Violin by Albert Knorr Markneukirchen 1927
This violin has an overall lighter character with a verstile sound. Mature and well seasoned sound - pleasing darkness to the sound in its lower registers. But the violin still projects very well in all registers - fine depth of sound. The body is in covered in a lovely orange varnish and is in a good state of preservation. It's currently strung with Evah Pirazzi Gold strings to bring warmth and complexity without sacrificing its brightness. It is fitted with high-quality pernambuco fitting from Bogaro & Clemente.
