Violin by Giacomo Rocca, Torino 2026
Clear, Vibrant Tone with Quick Reponse
This violin offers a sound that is open, bright, and immediately responsive — meeting the player exactly where they are with ease. Its tone is beautifully resonant across the full range of the instrument, remaining clear and vibrant even into the higher positions where lesser instruments often begin to thin out or lose focus.
Well-balanced and musically rewarding at every stage of development, this violin is an excellent choice for the player looking to grow alongside their instrument — one that will continue to reveal new dimensions of tone and expression as their technique matures.
Giacomo Rocca, born in Turin in 1988, studied at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan under Lorenzo Rossi, Stefano Gibertoni, and Gabriele Negri, Supported by a Fondazione Cologni scholarship, he apprenticed in Rossi’s workshop, refining varnishing, restoration, assembly, and setup skills. In 2016, he opened his own Turin workshop, crafting violins, violas, and cellos, and has gained international recognition through competitions. He has received awards at Premio Città di Roma, Sesto Fiorentino, Stradivari International Triennial, and the Giovanni Battista Guadagnini competition.
