Kwang Hun Choi has a strong background as a professional flutist, trained at Goyang High School of Arts and Pyeongtaek University, and formerly Principal Flutist of the Korean National Military Symphony Orchestra. His interest in instrument construction led him to study violin making at the Antonio Stradivari Institute in Cremona, Italy. Now based in New Jersey, he works as a restorer at Main Violin, where restoring historic instruments informs his own work. He combines a musician’s ear with refined craftsmanship to create violins that sound beautiful and feel comfortable to play.
