Violin by Tae Yeong Kim, Cremona 2022

Taeyeong Kim was born in Korea and developed an early passion for music, beginning with guitar as a hobby. This interest led to work at a musical instrument company, where exposure to violin making inspired a move to Cremona. After three years of training, Kim worked in Brescia with master luthier Ioannis Apostolou, participating in competitions and exchanging ideas with leading teachers and colleagues. Now based in Korea as a head repairer, Kim specializes in restoration, integrating making and restoration techniques to create instruments with expressive and beautiful sound.
