Violin by Wanna Zambelli, Cremona 2012 "Aure"

Resonant Tone for Professionals

This violin creates a big, full voice with remarkable ease, requiring very little effort to draw out its best qualities. The tone is smooth and even throughout, promoting seamless transitions across registers without any imbalance or resistance. The instrument leans toward warmth and solidity, offering a rich and grounded sound that fills a room naturally. Finished in a pristine varnish, it is a high-quality instrument that is as consistent and reliable as it is rewarding to play.

Wanna Zambelli is a pioneer of classical violin making. She was the first Italian woman to graduate from the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, later she taught there for 44 years. She studied under Simone Fernando Sacconi in 1972 while training in Francesco Bissolotti’s workshop. In 1973, she won the "S. F. Sacconi" gold medal at the 5th Italian Biennial Competition of String Instruments. Zambelli collaborates on exhibitions and creates violins, violas, and cellos entirely by hand using the classical Cremonese method, with her instruments played by renowned musicians.
