The Carlos Rizzo Cello Outfit is the perfect start to one's cello journey, or for a player looking for a good affordable second instrument. The Carlos Rizzo is made with a spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, ebony pegs and fingerboard just likes its more upscale cousins. And just like those more expensive instruments, LA Violin Shop luthiers set-up the Carlos Rizzo with a Wittner finetune tailpiece, a custom carved and fitted Despiau one tree bridge, and Jargar and Larsen strings. The hand-rubbed varnish colors will vary, but generally they are a burnt umber or reddish brown over a yellow base, with subtle antiquing.
The outfit consists of the Carlos Rizzo Cello, a brazilwood or fiberglass bow, a quality nylon gig bag, a Geipel rosin, and an LA Violin Shop cleaning cloth.
